Nitrox & Rebreathers !!!!

Cabo Pulmo a 17 de Enero de 2003.

Hola !!!
This last week, we have a lot of wind in front of Cabo Pulmo, so we did most of our activities down in Los Frailes Bay, the conditions were very good still, water temperature remains in the 70’s and the underwater visibility it’s about 40 feet , and there is so much fish that it lowers the visibility down to zero !!
This coming week a couple of English Dive Instructors whon they own a prestigious Dive Center in La Paz are coming in to Cabo Pulmo to explore the Submarine Cayon in Los Frailes, they are bringing very special equipment such as Nitrox and Rebreathers so they can make really deep diving and the rebreathers so they can get very close to the manta rays and sharks , you know rebreathers are a close circuit kind of unit, it means that you can not make bubbles so your recycle all your air with out making any noise at all , so I will keep you post about our diving for next week !!!!!

Pepe’s Dive Center Report :

Surface Water Temperature : 73 Degrees
Bottom Temperature : 70 Degrees
Thermocline : at 35 feet
Sea Conditions : high wind in Cabo Pulmo and nice and calm at Los Frailes, some current from the north.
High Lights : Big Amber Jacks, Huge Groupers, Blue Sharks.

Pepe’s Foundation Report :

Making contacted with the Coordinator from all the Parks in Baja California South Mr. Benito Bermudez it’s like having a double hook up on Wahoo, but I still working on it, anyway The East Cape Humane Animal Society just got set all together and I will get train to operate cats and dogs for the good sake of them, so they wont have bambinos, we will have a meeting this coming monday to discuss the proceeds and other things like building a clinic and environmental education Programs for kids around the East Cape.

Until Next Time …..
